The blues brothers

I love blue orchids be they Vandas, Dendrobiums,Cattleyas or Phalaenopsis. Photographing them has always been difficult as most times the colours are not reproduced accurately . Here I used white  paper as background and calibrated the white balance then using the leafs and clay pot as a guide I was able to get pretty close to the actual colours.

This one has got large flat blooms, clear colours and a good tinge of green.

A Phalaenopsis hybrid with Phal yellow angel (HCC) parentage. A very fragrant and floriferous hybrid.

Took a while to recover after the last burst of blooms. It has added a new spike, grown a keiki and ready to start blooming again.
