The elusive black dragonfly

I bought this when Mandai orchid garden was closing down. Have been growing it since with no success at getting it to flower. It just grow taller and taller and when it gets too high up I will crop off the top section and try to regrow it again. Decided to move it to where the dinard blue and sanderiana are growing .... hopefully this Arachnis will get some inspiration from them.

The watering system is doing a good job. The orchids seem much happier. I only need to fertilize and do pest /fungus control.  Cattleya dinard blue heaven and Vanda sanderiana in the same watering zone.

The alien

This small but alien looking flowers from the Phalaenopsis difformis is quite intriging. I have not seen anything similiar and was happy to be able to get a few plants from a vendor quite recently.

Exciting times

A first bloom from new hybrid ....  exciting times !!!!
