Bulbophyllum Baccarii
The largest orchid specie... Bulbophyllum Bacarrii. I had one of this several years back and grew it tied to my palm tree. Didn't do too well....now I am growing it very wet with lots of dried and live sphagnum moss. Sitting on the live moss is a Bulbophyllum Spiesii back bulb and a split orchid seed pod which I decided not to send for germination.

Bulbophyllum Macrobulbon Section
I have always like the large Bulbophyllums and on a few recent trips managed to find some of the rarer ones to add to the garden. I found a few online sellers after a long search and got the following Bulbophyllum Agastor , Bulbophyllum Macrobulbum, and very nice specimens of Bulbophyllum Spiesii (Vanuatu) and Orthosepalum. Missing the Bulbophyllum Cruentum which is cool growing and a real challenge to grow here in the tropic.
Paraphalaenopsis Denevei
Found this by chance while visiting Song Orchids. There were a few left from a shipment brought in and this one was in pretty good shape with new roots already showing. It was quite pricy. I had it remounted on cork bark and it seems pretty happy with the new growing environment. It bloomed after about 6 month of growing and I managed to do a selfing. The seed pod is now about 1 month and looking good.... fingers crossed !
