The other Phal mok choi yew that I have is also in bloom. This is a much larger plant with redder markings taking on more characteristics of the gigantea parent as compared to the smaller specimen which displays more violacea traits.

Mok Choi Yew ?
The flower has flattened out. The markings are nice and distinct except for the slight damage on the right. The shape is average. I am more inclined to think it's a mok choi yew althought it was tagged as a gigabel.

Ringing in the new year 2019
First post for 2019 with a first bloom from a Phalaenopsis gigabel to ring in the new year. Grown for 2 years and plant is still relatively small so pretty surprised to see a flower. The bloom just opening up this morning...
