First bloom...

A first bloom from this Phalaenopsis dunman high seedling after several failed attempts. The first flower spike was half bitten off by the birds and the second spike had the first couple of buds eaten.  Thick petals and nice intense colour pretty happy with it.

The flowers are finally showing....

What a difference the net makes......   the orchids are blooming properly again.

Glad I put up the nettings, more blooms are making it across the finishing line.  The recent heat spell is great for the dendrobiums.

Another gigantea hybrid in bloom...  started with 3 spikes and only one spike survived the birds. If not for the netting this would have became bird food as well.

A classic specie phalaenopsis, nice colours and distinct markings...  love it !

NOID but this is probably a coerulea hybrid.
