Alocasia frydek ( Green Velvet )

A rather commonly found Alocasia with gorgeous velvety leaves. A great plant to have in any garden.

Microsorum thailandicum aka Blue fern

Probably one of the the most unusual ferns in existence, the cobalt blue Microsorum thailandicum from Thailand, Cambodia and other neighboring countries. This interesting fern can grows in very dim light and can be found as an epiphyte growing on trees or a lithophyte growing on limestone.

Dendrobium stratiotes DPDS 1

Another old plant, originally left to grow near the bottom of a clum of jungle palm, it almost died from the generous dose of fertilizer my dog gave it. I removed the plant, made several cuttings from it and tied them higher or left them to grow in pots. They are doing well and have started blooming again.

With more attention and feeding, the ophioglossums, lycopodiums and huperzias are growing very nicely.

TC Anthuriums

Remember the bottles of tissue culture anthuriums bought during WOC ?  I have deflasked the second bottle. The Anthurium warocqueanum deflasked 2 months ago are doing well and the 10 seedlings  have grown quite a bit.

Old Catt update

Both flowers now in bloom, colour has changed from it's initial light yellowish green to a nice clean white. It's very fragrant too but unfortunately I have no ID for this one.
