Rhynchostylis coelestis blue
This orchid was bought from chaktuchak market many years ago. It flowered once after I brought it back and has not bloomed for the last few years. I added HB101 to my waterings recently and got a nice christmas present. The frangipani branch was sacrificed so that the spike will not be damaged.

Anselia africana DPAA 1
Although I already have a couple of these, I will always add one more if I see a nice one. They are not common anymore. I had to wait for a long time before the owner decided to divide his plant and was willing to part with a cutting.... paid a premium but I think it's worth it. It's almost a year now and the plant is just beginning to bloom.
Brassavola nodosa
One of the first fragrant orchids that I bought when I started growing orchids. Easy to grow and blooms often. I frequently divide the plants and stick them on palms and frangipani trees all over the garden.
Caladium white christmas
Saw this at one of my regular nurseries recently, large pot with gorgeous leaves. I just had to add it to the garden.

Phal violacea DPVI 1
This is the second rebloom after getting it from this year's Garden Festival. While I have heard/read about some complaints regarding roots for plants from this vendor, I had no problems with the plants I bought. Roots remain green and heathy and I left them in their original potted media. Maybe I am lucky.
While the new bloom is smaller in my warmer growing conditions, the colour and fragrance remains intense.

The blues brothers
I love blue orchids be they Vandas, Dendrobiums,Cattleyas or Phalaenopsis. Photographing them has always been difficult as most times the colours are not reproduced accurately . Here I used white paper as background and calibrated the white balance then using the leafs and clay pot as a guide I was able to get pretty close to the actual colours.
